Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
Effective Date: November 17, 2025
This page explains your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) regarding the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. Although these laws apply specifically to California residents, Pattern Nexus extends these rights to all users worldwide as part of our commitment to privacy and transparency.
1) Our Position
Pattern Nexus does not sell personal information in exchange for money. However, certain data—such as information processed by Google Analytics 4 or Google AdSense—may qualify as “sharing” under California law when used for:
- cross-site behavioral advertising,
- ad measurement or frequency capping,
- aggregated usage reporting that uses identifiers derived from cookies.
Because of this, we provide a way for you to opt out of any data sharing that may be interpreted as a “sale” or “share.”
2) Definitions Under California Law
- “Sell” — transferring personal information to a third party for monetary consideration.
- “Share” — distributing personal information to a third party for cross-context behavioral advertising (e.g., targeted ads across different websites or apps).
Pattern Nexus does neither intentionally, but analytics and advertising technologies may fall under the CPRA’s definition of “sharing.”
3) How to Opt Out
You can opt out of all Analytics and Advertising data sharing at any time using any of the following methods:
- — Disable Analytics and Advertising cookies.
- Enable a supported Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser. Pattern Nexus automatically recognizes and honors GPC as an opt-out request where required.
- Email a formal request to [email protected] if you want confirmation or additional action (e.g., global opt-out, verification, or data deletion).
4) What Happens When You Opt Out
- Google Analytics and Google AdSense will be blocked or disabled.
- No new tracking identifiers will be set for Analytics or Advertising.
- Any previously collected analytics data remains only in aggregated, non-identifiable form.
- Your consent preferences are stored in a necessary cookie (
pn_cookie_prefs) for 12 months so we can honor your settings.
5) Verification Requirements
If you submit a request via email, we may need to verify your identity using the email address associated with your account or newsletter subscription. Verification is required to protect your privacy and prevent fraudulent requests.
6) Authorized Agents
California residents may designate an authorized agent to make opt-out or deletion requests on their behalf. The agent must provide:
- proof of authorization (signed statement), and
- proof of their own identity.
Send documentation to [email protected].
7) Application Outside California
Even if you are not a California resident, you may opt out of analytics/advertising tracking at any time using the same tools. Pattern Nexus applies these protections globally as part of our privacy-first approach.
